The Anthropocene: What is it?
The Anthropocene is Earth’s most recent (and current) geologic epoch in which humans have played a major role in impacting the earth systems and its processes.
Our Blog
We are a team of KSU students working on ways of changing humanity’s path through the Anthropocene. We look to do this through reevaluating our infrastructure and also redirecting our thought processes towards change to sustainable living for our future.
The Team:
Mike Dalrymple I’m a senior at K-State originally form Marysville, Kansas. Currently I am majoring in Geography.
Jakob Hanschu I’m a freshman at K-State originally from Hillsboro, Kansas. Currently I am majoring in Anthropology. My project, “Paths to Change” is focused on seeking out ways in which we can be motivated (as individuals, communities, and as an entire human race) to react to the calamity which is the Anthropocene and discuss the factors that prohibit us from taking such action.
Nick Schmedeman I’m a junior at K-State originally from San Antonio, Texas. Currently I am a double major in Criminology and Anthropology.
